Tips on How to Grilling Turkey
Frozen Turkey Burgers: Preheat grill. Grill burgers from frozen on medium/medium-high heat. Grill each side for 3–5 minutes for even cooking to an internal temperature of 165°F.
Fresh Ground Turkey Burgers: Prepare grill for medium direct-heat cooking. Form burgers from ground turkey. Grill 8–10 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink in center, turning once or twice until fully cooked. Ensure a minimum internal temperature of 165°F.
Frozen Turkey Mignons: Preheat grill on high. Remove mignons from wrap and place on grill. Reduce heat to medium. Grill for 9–11 minutes on each side. Ensure a minimum internal temperature of 165°F.
Ready to Cook Roasts: Thaw roast in its original packaging for 48–72 hours refrigerated. Once fully thawed, remove the outer plastic bag on Foil Wrapped or Netted Roasts and prepare for cooking. Cook In Bag Roasts are designed to stay in their original packaging for cooking. Set a convection oven at 350°F and place the roast on a pan on the middle oven rack. Bake the roast for 15 minutes per pound or approximately 2.5 hours. Remove the roast from the oven and allow it to “rest” for 20–30 minutes before carving. Ensure a minimum internal temperature of 165°F.
Fresh Breast Tenders and Filets: Prepare grill for medium direct-heat cooking. Spray filets with non-stick cooking spray. Grill 2–3 minutes per side until turkey is lightly browned and no longer pink. Ensure a minimum internal temperature of 165°F.
