- University of Iowa City rolled out a turkey burger with Parmesan cheese and a chiffonade of basil. Grilled zucchini, eggplant slices and Muenster cheese topped the burger.

- Hardee's Jalapeño Turkey Burger featured sliced jalapeños, pepper Jack cheese and creamy Santa Fe sauce, served on a whole-wheat bun with sliced red onion, lettuce and tomato.
